Dual Enrollment/AP Courses

College-Level Learning for High School Students

For students who are ready to go further, Wellspring offers two paths to college-level coursework: Advanced Placement and Dual Enrollment. Both are rigorous by design. Both are supported by Wellspring's teaching and advising team. And both give students a meaningful head start on their college journey.

Advanced Placement (AP) Courses

Our AP courses are developed by the College Board and taught by AP-certified teachers who know the material and know how to prepare students for the exam. Strong AP scores can earn college credit at thousands of universities and signal to admissions offices that a student is ready for the demands of college coursework.

Students receive structured preparation throughout the year, regular practice with AP-style assessments, and dedicated exam support in the weeks leading up to May testing.

Dual Enrollment

Dual Enrollment allows eligible high school students to take actual college courses through Wellspring's partner institutions, earning credit on both their high school and college transcripts simultaneously. These are not AP-style preparatory courses — they are college courses, taught to college expectations, that count toward a college degree.

Your Educational Concierge will look at your student's academic readiness, course load, schedule, and college goals to help make the right call. For some students the answer is one or two AP courses. For others, Dual Enrollment fits better. For some students, both make sense.

Advanced coursework is demanding, and Wellspring does not leave students to navigate it alone. AP and Dual Enrollment students receive ongoing support from subject-area teachers, their Educational Concierge, and college advisors who help manage course selection, balance workload, and keep college application timelines on track.
