Online Middle School
for Grades 6-8

Navigating the Critical Years of Growth and Discovery

The middle school years ask a lot of students. Academic expectations rise, subjects become more specialized, and students start discovering who they are and what they care about. Wellspring's 6-8 program is designed to hold all of that with structure, support, and room to grow.

Learning Through Real Projects

Middle schoolers are ready for more complex challenges. Through Project-Based Learning, students tackle extended, meaningful projects that connect their coursework to real-world issues. Whether designing sustainable energy solutions or developing mathematical models to address community problems, students build the critical thinking, time management, and presentation skills they will carry into high school and beyond.

Building Independence

Middle school is when students start owning their learning, and Wellspring is intentional about supporting that transition.

01

Structure First

We teach organization, study skills, and self-management explicitly with the right amount of structure in place.

02

Growing Autonomy

We gradually increase student autonomy as confidence builds. Parents move from active coaching to about 1-2 hours of daily oversight.

03

Guided by Your Concierge

Your Educational Concierge helps you find the right balance for your family throughout the journey.

Exploring Interests and the Road Ahead

Middle school is the right time to explore. Through elective courses, student clubs, virtual events, and career exploration activities, students begin connecting their interests to future possibilities.

Guest speakers and real-world projects help students see why their coursework matters, and begin thinking about the kind of high school experience they want. When they are ready, our High School program builds directly on this foundation.

A Team That Stays Involved

Wellspring middle schoolers are supported by subject-area teachers who lead live sessions and provide individualized feedback, an Educational Concierge who monitors progress and keeps communication flowing, and an advisory structure that addresses the social and emotional dimensions of these years. Students connect with peers through live sessions, collaborative projects, and clubs. It is a genuine community, not just a course platform.
